I would like to share a story about my mom, a 58-year-old Breast Cancer survivor. Diagnosed with a Stage 1 tumor in February of 2010, she was committed to getting back to work approximately 10 days after her lumpectomy. My mother is a Psychological Counselor and has built a successful private practice for 25 years. Throughout her chemotherapy and radiation treatment, she continued to see her clients daily, listening to their problems while dealing with such a serious health problem of her own. I am proud of her resilience and of her persistence!
