I was diagnosed with breast cancer last year, fortunately it was in it's very early stages and I was able to get by with a lumpectomy and radiation. I had been going for yearly mammograms since 2003. I certainly have come to realize how important early detection is. I am so thankful for my terrific doctors and the all those involved during my treatments. It made a very upsetting time much easier to deal with.
