My Story
Diane

Breast cancer became very real for me less than 4 weeks ago when I received a phone call telling me that my 54 year old sister-in-law (Anna) had breast cancer that had spread to her spine, liver and lungs. She was admitted into the hospital on a Tuesday, and died on Friday, before all the test results were back. She had 4 different types of breast cancer cells that had invaded every area of her body. After my sister-in-law died her 7 year old niece asked how big Anna's cancer was. After hearing that the cancer was "very big" she asked, "If the cancer had been smaller could the doctors have removed it?" All adults know that if Anna had had proper screening she might still be alive.
