I lost my mother to breast cancer when I was only 10 years of age,(19 years ago) and I have so many memories of her that I thought I would loose through the years and yet I still hold her dear. I do not talk of her much only because I have put a wall up on that; however in junior high we were to write poems and here is one I wrote for my mother and what I went though. Watching my mother in pain as she lays in her hospital bed Watching my mother in pain as she fights until the end Watching my mother in pain as I sit at her side Watching my other in pain as we discuss the otherside Watching my mother in pain as we share our last Easter Watching my mother in pain is something I no longer have to do As discussed she is now on the otherside watching over me and my life.
