My Story
Jacqueline

At the young age of 34 my sister was diganois with breast cancer. She found the lump herself by doing self examines. She was a nurse and a student at Prince Williams in Virginia. She graduated in June of 2006 as a LPN and was awarded a scholarship to continue her career in nursing as a RN. Unfortunately she never got a chance to use it on Dec. 30th 2006 my sister died at the age of 36 from a heart attack because the chemo was just to much from her heart to take. She had just finished her last treatment several months before and the cancer was in remission. Even though she didn't die from the cancer her death was a result of it. She was a suvivor. She left behind a husband and 3 children. Watching my sister go through everthing she did I have become more aware of my body and I do my self breast examiations and I get my mammograms every year. I also try to encourage my 15 year old daughter and teach her how to do her own examines and what to look for . Early detection ladies is very vital to our health. Please do not sleep on this do it for yourself and your family. Even though she catch hers early it ended to soon Leesa Martin Bryson was a cancer survivor.
